The Challenge

McDonalds restaurants were spending too much time coordinating and upholding waste management processes

A challenge widely experienced among clients before partnering with Waste Solutions Canada, management and operations staff at McDonalds restaurants were spending too much time coordinating and upholding waste management processes. With costs for waste and recycling steadily increasing and facing the added complication of continual billing errors and invoice issues, stores were paying too much.

Our Solution

Providing 24/7 customer care, Waste Solutions Canada became a hub for all McDonalds waste and recycling matters. Taking on the responsibilities of managing waste and recycling programs, Waste Solutions Canada seized an opportunity to effectively maximize efficiency and reduce costs for McDonalds.

Additionally, regional buying power allowed Waste Solutions Canada to negotiate rates across several McDonalds locations. Responding directly to billing errors and invoicing issues, a monthly invoice validation and critique was also implemented to mitigate errors and overcharges.

The Impact

Taking all vendor management pressure off of McDonalds, a partnership with Waste Solutions Canada allowed management and operations to focus on running their restaurants, while ensuring lower rates and better contracts. With critical monthly invoice assessments, McDonalds no longer receives incorrect invoices. Errors and overcharges have also been completely eliminated.
